RE∶ GEORGE LWANDAMINA
Zesco United would like to acknowledge receiving Media reports suggesting that head Coach, George Lwandamina is in Tanzania having talks and at the verge of signing a two year contract with Young Africans Sporting Club.
Lwandamina has a three year running contract that expires in January 2017 and the club has not entered into negotiations to have the contract extended and Lwandamina has not communicated his intentions at the end of the contract.
As far as the Club is concerned, Lwandamina is in Monze attending a family bereavement as he stated on Sunday when he sought permission to leave from the Team Manager, Mr Mabvuto Banda and is expected to return to camp today for the midweek rescheduled game against Nkwazi FC in Lusaka tomorrow.
Zesco United would like to state that if indeed these media reports are true, Lwandamina will be in breach of his contract with the club, we believe he is a professional and is expected to behave as such.
We believe that he is aware of his contractual obligations and implications of a possible breach.
